CNC-resident version of the GibbsCAM® system

GibbsSFP® is designed for the shop floor environment and optimized for in-control use, giving both the first-time user and “seasoned professional” access to drilling, contouring and pocketing routines supporting a wide range of part programming.

GibbsSFP® is designed for the shop floor environment and optimized for in-control use, giving both the first-time user and “seasoned professional” access to drilling, contouring and pocketing routines supporting a wide range of part programming.

GibbsSFP® is easy to learn, and easy to use with an intuitive programming sequence that builds on the operator’s shop floor experience. No G-Code editing is necessary, the operator can view the graphically rendered program and machine the part immediately.

It’s as simple as:

  • Defining Machining Context
    • The initial machining context is defined by specifying the machine tool type, material, and stock.

  • Creating Geometry
    • Using Gibbs SFP®’s powerful modeling capabilities the geometry to machine is created.  Geometry can also be imported into Gibbs SFP®.

  • Creating Tooling
    • Using Gibbs SFP®’s graphical interface, the tooling that will be used to machine the geometry is defined.

  •  Creating Toolpaths
    • Using graphical interactions, the tool and process are associated, the geometry to machine is selected, and the process parameters are set, then Gibbs SFP® generates the toolpath.

  •  Verifying The Program
    • Using Gibbs SFP®’s integrated process simulation capabilities, the program can be visually verified to identify any programming mistakes before running it on the machine tool.
